The UX/Visual Designer will work alongside the iEXCEL Visualization Team in crafting innovative and educational experiences for our users through concise, well tested, well thought out, and visually appealing solutions. This role is highly focused in crafting mockups and prototypes as well as conducting user research studies and testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Handles projects to completion that may be broadly defined, loose concepts to narrowly defined, tactical deliverables
- Participates in research using UX methods like user interviews, observation, competitive analysis and more to uncover latent needs and develop a thorough understanding of our users and their goals
- Produces and tests interaction flows that accurately communicate product functionality to product, subject matter, and design team members
- Continuously iterates and tests designs until concepts and workflows are solidified with design team members and company leadership
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of typography, color, grid, and composition in pixel-perfect production mocks and prototypes
- Works closely with designers and subject matter experts to develop and expand product design systems
- Works in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product, and project teams
- Creates wireframes, diagrams, or other design assets to aid in the visualization of the health care related applications
- Other duties assigned as needed
- Knowledge of UX design with web applications
- Knowledge of data visualization
- Knowledge of the various stages of the software development life cycle, definition of solution architecture, detailed design, solution development, testing and deployment
- Knowledge and solid understanding of object oriented analysis, design and programming
Education and/or Experience |
- Minimum of a high school diploma required
- Prior experience designing user interfaces required
- Experience using Figma, Sketch or related tool
- Experience in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML preferred
- Experience in education preferred
